Welcome to the Movement Action Center. We are excited that YOU have made the decision to take action in The Movement to End Youth Homelessness in Nevada. You have an important role in ensuring that no young person who is experiencing homelessness goes without life-saving resources and your efforts are valued.
The Movement Action Center will highlight all of the actions that you can take as an individual to move the needle in our fight against youth homelessness. YOU can make a difference and, collectively, each of our actions can make a huge impact.
Tell Your State Representatives
Young people often go unheard by representatives. That’s why we need you!
Every young person in America should have a safe place to call home with the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. Unfortunately, one in ten 18 to 25-year-olds and one in thirty 13 to 17-year-olds experience homelessness in America, and Nevada has for many years had one of the highest rates of youth homelessness in the nation. We can significantly reduce these numbers by passing the bipartisan Runaway and Homeless Youth and Trafficking Prevention Act of 2022.
Tell your representatives that you care about the issue of youth homelessness and they should too!
Submit A Video
We need your voice to inspire others as they figure out their own “why” in the fight to end youth homelessness!
We are looking for community members who care about the issue of homelessness to submit a 30 second video detailing why they want to end homelessness. We will be collecting these videos and using them for future events, social media, and more!

Here are the video specifics:
- You can submit a short video (feel free to film this on a smartphone, computer, or tablet)
- The video should be 30 seconds long (or less)
- The video should be filmed vertically on your phone
Here’s your video prompt:
- Why do you want to end youth homelessness?
- Introduction: “Hi, I’m ______.”
- Answer: “I want to end youth homelessness because…”
Here are a few ways to answer this question or figure out your “why.”
- Do you see its impact on the work you do?
- Do you know someone who experienced YH?
- Do you believe no child/person should experience the trauma of being on the streets?
- Do you believe all youth deserve an opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams?
