NEVADA YOUTH HOMELESSNESS SUMMIT
On November 2, 2017, we kicked off the Movement to End Youth Homelessness at the first annual Southern Nevada Youth Homelessness Summit, presented by NPHY and Las Vegas Sands. Since then, we’ve brought together thousands of cross-sector stakeholders at annual Summits to raise awareness, build regional plans, strengthen partnerships, advocate for policy change, and uplift youth voice. In 2023, we shifted to a statewide focus, addressing the commonalities and unique realities of youth homelessness in various regions and communities across our state. THE MOVEMENT INSTITUTE
Launched in 2022, The Movement Institute is your gateway to powerful, hands-on advocacy training focused on youth homelessness and its related issues. Dive into inspiring sessions on topics like mental health, policy change, and more. Each Movement Institute features an engaging educational component along with a hands-on activation where attendees can immediately take action.
LEGISLATIVE WORK
We can’t end youth homelessness without policy change. That’s why we work with young leaders with lived expertise to pursue legislative policy change at the national, state, and local levels. Policy change can prevent youth homelessness, break down barriers that can keep youth from exiting homelessness, increase youth and providers’ access to resources, and create opportunities for youth to build the futures they want and deserve. But, we can’t do this critical work without you.
SYSTEM-LEVEL PLANNING
Over the last eight years, The Movement has made systems-level planning a top priority, driving impactful changes across key areas. By addressing these interconnected systems and issues, we’re advancing our mission to end youth homelessness.
