Join Us for the 8th Annual Nevada Youth Homelessness Summit
Join us for the 8th annual Summit as we explore the statewide work already being done and share a bold vision for the future of The Movement to End Youth Homelessness across Nevada. During this year’s event, we will delve into concrete next steps for how we can come together to achieve statewide change now and over the next few years.
Since 2017, the Summit has brought together stakeholders across sectors to tackle youth homelessness in Southern Nevada. Recognizing the need for statewide solutions to create transformational change, last year, the annual Summit expanded to a statewide focus. We explored both the commonalities and unique realities of youth homelessness in various regions and communities across our state.
Youth homelessness remains a crisis in Nevada: young people experiencing literal homelessness throughout our state increased 14% from 2022 to 2023. We know that youth homelessness affects every corner of our state; we can create a bigger and more lasting impact for young people by working in collaboration across Nevada. We are more powerful together! Help us build The Movement to End Youth Homelessness across Nevada.
Our Statewide Approach
In order to make systemic change, we knew we could no longer focus our work on Southern Nevada alone – we needed to go statewide to create real, lasting change! Last year, we hosted the first-ever Nevada Youth Homelessness Summit, which was critical in laying the foundation for statewide solutions.
Why Statewide:
-
The scope of the youth homelessness crisis is statewide. Going statewide will continue powering the Movement to End Youth Homelessness in the entire state of NEVADA.
-
The Movement’s state-level policy work, such as passing Nevada state laws, affects and requires collaboration across the state – our policy work will be more responsive to identified needs, more likely to come to fruition, and more successfully implemented if we align across the state.
-
There are incredible organizations working throughout the state, and now we must join forces to bring more ideas and solutions to the table – because the issue of youth homelessness is bigger than any one sector and bigger than any one region.
-
As part of this growth, we are bringing new partners on board to create a statewide response to youth homelessness, which will culminate in the Movement’s Nevada Plan to End Youth Homelessness — slated to be unveiled in 2026.
